It’s no secret, I love a sale. I really love deals and discounts. It excites me on a level that should probably be questioned. So imagine the foolery that went down when I walked into Sears, YES SEAR’S . The department store was having the largest sale ever. I literally lost my mind and almost all of my money. The deals were too sweet to walk away from. I’m talking dresses for as low as $3.99. I ended up trying on two baskets full of pieces, but I only walked out with five dresses on my first trip (yes, there was a 2nd trip). The best part is each dress is work-ready and office approved. I’ve already worn three of my fab finds so let’s take a look at each one starting with my favorite .
The minute I picked this floral sheath dress up I knew it was a winner. The colors are rich and vibrant. Plus, the fit of this dress is perfect. The sheath dress falls to my knees and features a keyhole near the neckline.
I paired the pretty pink floral dress with my favorite Betsey Johnson heels. The hot pink bow sandals are incredibly cute and compliments this dress perfectly. I’m wearing “Flat out Fabulous” matte lipstick by MAC Cosmetics to give me this popping pink look that punctuated my outfit.
I stayed in the pink and coral family with my second look. It’s another sheath dress and the fit is perfection. The dress made of a soft scuba material features floral detail around the neckline.
The popover overlay adds a gorgeous dimensional look. So many people thought I was rocking a pencil skirt and matching top. Nope. It’s all in one.
I left things bright with this beautiful orange twisted wrap dress. The lightweight knit number features a three-quarter sleeve, a round neck , and a wrap detailing which provides a figure-flattering fit.
I received so many compliments when I wore this dress. The ooh’s and ahhs were endless. The color really pops on air and the fit is great. It’s easy to move around in and the best part of it is the dress was less than $10.
So how did I walk with these three dresses and spent less than $25? Pretty simple. Sear’s offered upwards of 70 percent discounts.
Each dress was $7.99. That’s unheard of. It’s almost better than my favorite bogo events.
-Always shop end of season events. You never know what gems you may discover. Typically you’ll find pieces that are extremely marked down.
- Get out of your comfort zone and shop stores you wouldn’t normally step foot in. I haven’t been to Sear’s since middle school and let’s face it we don’t think fashion when we hear Sear’s. I think of appliances and lawnmowers. Now I’m shouting to everyone to wake up and stop sleeping on Sears. You should see the faces of people when I tell them my pieces are from Sears. They literally fall out when I tell them it was only $7.99
- Sign up for in store rewards program. My mom received $10 off her total based off her rewards. She had to spend money to get money back but it came in handy. Sears and K-Mart are under the same umbrella so shopping at both places helped her rack up some points.
I hope these tips help. Some of these pieces are available on line. Each are clearance items, so sizes are limited. Plus the online prices are sometimes cheaper or more expensive than inside the retail store.
