Truth Moment: I have a love-hate relationship with suits, especially pant suits. I came to this realization about a year and a half ago. That’s when I moved to Rochester and avoided suits altogether. Something about them made me look boxy on television. If the fit wasn’t perfect, I’m talking tailor made, it didn’t show well on screen. So I ditched suits, that is until my mom sent over this thrifted black and white pinstripe suit that original came from Casual Corners.
Things started to shift and I was once again thrilled about wearing a suit. Honestly, I don’t know why I was so excited about wearing the pantsuit because pinstripes are hard to pull off.
Nevertheless I decided to rock the suit, but add a feminine touch to the masculine print. I teamed the pant suit with a black crop top that featured mesh side panels and an exposed zipper.
I added a gold body chain and necklace. My black Just Fab Florence heels and a bright red lip finished the look.
The key to making pinstripes work is adding feminine touches, like a fitted or crop top. If your not feeling head-to-toe pinstripes try rocking the pieces as separates. Wear your blazer with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a crop top or tank.
Pair your pinstripe pants with a bright colored blouse or get edgy and team your pants with a black leather moto jacket.
Sweeties, are you iffy about suits? Do you hate pinstripes? Tell me about it and let me know if you love my look.
