I have a love-hate relationship with pantsuits and majority of the time it leans towards the latter. I wasn’t always like this though. About six years ago I wore a pantsuit to work nearly twice a week, then I had an “aha moment.” I realized some of my suits weren’t flattering and the others were all work, no play. But thank goodness for progress and a little bit of balance. I’m starting to get it right, this look included. Continue Reading »
Alabama’s weather is absolutely wonky! One day it’s 85 degrees the next you’re dressed in a winter coat. So crazy? I know. I’m living it right now. I try to take advantage of the warmer days though by wearing bright colors. If I embrace the sunshine hopefully it will stick around. That’s my mantra for now. “Never doubt your greatness.”
It took me nearly 30 years to realize I’m great. For three decades I second guessed my potential. That’s entirely too long, to doubt yourself. I shared my story with about 25 4th graders last week at a female summit for 4th-8th grade girls.
I’m still swooning over my fabulous vest I picked up at the thrift store a few weeks ago. This statement piece is the the perfect addition to my closet for many reasons. The most important is this vest serves multiple purposes.
