We’re only two days away from Christmas morning and creating more memories with our families. If you can’t tell, I’m so freaking excited. This is my absolute favorite time of the year. Christmas is practically here! *Does Happy Dance* We are four days away from all the festive cheer a girl can ask for, but unfortunately this year I’ll have to miss out. I have to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Talk about a major bummer. Despite this major blow , it won’t kill my Christmas spirit or the diminish the joy this time a year brings to my heart. It’s a lot of happiness might I add. I feel like a kid all over again. I jam out to Christmas carols, get excited about Christmas decor, and let’s not forget about the Christmas parties. Don’t you love a bomb holiday party? It’s the precursor to Christmas Day. Because I’ve been feeling super festive , I’ve been dressing the part too. Continue Reading »
I love this time of year. The decorations, the Christmas carols and movies. Let’s not forget the countless parties and I’ve already made my way to few. This weekend I stopped by an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. My college friend held a “Jingle Mingle” Party , where guests were asked to bring a gift for a a family who was less fortunate. Don’t you love a party with purpose? I picked up a few goodies for the kids and moseyed on down to the party. Continue Reading »
The secret is out. I love thrifting! I make weekly stops to area thrift stores and I jokingly made the hashtag #iCanTeachYouHowToThrift. It’s kind of serious. But it wasn’t always that way. Sometimes it was hard for me to see the bigger picture or the beauty in a piece. Continue Reading »
Happy Hump Day Sweeties!
I love a fab find. I love it even more when I only spend a few bucks on the new the addition to my closet. That’s why I love shopping sales and weekly visits to the America’s Thrift Store. One of my latest finds include this thrifted printed heart blouse.
Ever buy something on line and its final sale? If you’re anything like me, you’re scared because you’re not sure if it’s going to look good or fit right. But it’s too good of a deal to pass up and you take the chance. So you’ve been there before, huh? That’s me anytime Forever 21 has a bomb sale. Sometimes it’s a fail and other times I hit the jackpot. I’ve been waiting on consistent cold weather, like a kid waits for Christmas. We’ve had a few cool days, but two days later it’s back in the high 60′s or low 70′s. I’m not really complaining , but it would be great to experience winter like weather for at least a month. Because this weather changes like the wind, I haven’t put away some of my summer clothes. I haven’t technically unloaded my cold weather items either. Not to mention, figuring out what to wear is a headache. I’m talking drama-filled, especially when it comes to work. Continue Reading »
It was almost two weeks ago, but I’m still reliving Tuskegee University’s Homecoming. I celebrated my 10 year class reunion. It was such an awesome experience to go back to a place I called home for many years. Mother Tuskegee is so dear to my heart. The memories are unforgettable , the experience is invaluable , and the education is unmatched. My time at Tuskegee really laid the foundation of my adult life and I’m grateful for every bit of it. Check out some of the new memories I created on my recent trip to Tuskegee, AL as I celebrated Tuskegee University’s 2016 Homecoming. #TUHC16 Continue Reading »
