1. MAYBELLINE FALSIES  VOLUM’ EXPRESS WATERPROOF MASCARA $7.49

2. AVEENO CLEAR COMPLEXION DAILY CLEANSING PADS $6.49

I use this product every day. I’ve tried other Aveeno face washes and they got the job done, but not as GREAT as the Clear Complexion Pads. I think it’s important to stick with the same products for your face wash regime. That’s why number 3 on this list is a must have too.

3. AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT DAILY MOISTURIZER SPF- 15-4  $14.99

This is another product I use daily. After I wash my face with the Aveeno Clear Complexion pads. I put this moisturizer on. I’ve been using this product since July 2007.

4.  Covergirl  Queen Collection Lip Gloss $4.84

This product packs a punch!! With colors like Million Dollar Mocha and Diamond Drop, you just might forget about your department store lipgloss. The shades are rich in color and full of shine. Can we say my lipgloss is popping.

5. REVLON COLORSTAY EYELINER  $5.54

It’s an automatic eyeliner, which I love . I like the liner because it goes on smooth and it last all day without any smudging. You can’t beat that.

This line of nail polishes offers some of the hottest shades of the season, plus the nail polishes doesn’t take forever to dry. Finally we have polishes that takes no time to dry. The color below is Pronto Purple.

I’ve always used Dove soap, but it wasn’t until recently I tried the Shea Butter Bath Bar. All I can say is, I’m in love with this soap. My skin feels so soft when I hop out the tub. In addition to the glow my skin has, the smell of this soap is absolutely divine.

8. JERGENS SHEA BUTTER LOTION  16.8 OZ $5.00

So right after I take my shower/bath I apply Jergens Shea Butter Lotion. It moisturizes my skin like no other Lotion can. As you can see I’m obessed with Shea Butter, but if you could see the wonders it has done on my skin you would be a obessing over this product too.

When I apply this serum on my hair it is all over! I swear I start singing “I whip my hair back and forth”. All you need is a small drop to take care of your hair needs.

10. NEUTROGENA OIL-FREE EYE MAKEUP REMOVER 3.8 FL OZ  $4.94

This is a great product to use to get all your party makeup off.All you need is a cotton ball and with one or two swipes across your eye lid the makeup is gone.

11. BONNEBELL GLIMMER BRONZER $3.95

This Bronzer is apart of my daily makeup regime. I absolutely love it! Don’t be fooled by the price, I would put it  up against some of the big head makeup products any day. It gets the job done! It comes in two shades “Gold N’ Glitz” and “Sunkissed Shimmer”. I’ve been wearing the Gold N’Glitz shade since my freshman year in college. I almost had a heart attack when one of the Walmarts in my neighborhood said they would no longer carry it. Lucky for me I found it on the web!

It’s a natural lip blam made with Coconut Oil. It keeps your lips well moisturized under the lipstick and gloss.

My mom bought me this set of brushes one Christmas and I’ve been using them since. These brushes are a great alternative to spending $30 to $40 bucks for a eyeshadow brush. The brushes are soft and come with a bamboo handle. The best part is there’s no shedding These brushes are a great quality for the price.

14. L’OREAL PARIS HIP HIGH INTENSITY PIGMENT EYESHADOW  $7.99

The eyeshadow colors are intense and don’t crease on your eyelids. You won’t waste time figuring out color combinations, because HOT color combos are already put together for you. This product was voted as one of the Best Beauty Buys of 2010 by Instyle Magazine.

Oxygen premiered it’s newest show House of Glam tonight and from the looks of the first episode we will be tuning in every Tuesday!  House of Glam is based on the B Lynn Group, one of the hottest image agencies in the entertainment industry. The B. Lynn group is headed by Brandy Simpkins. Along side her are veteran fashion stylists, makeup artist, and hair stylist.  These fashion gurus have dressed stars like Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, and Will Smith. The first episode gave us a look into the day-to-day roles of a fashion stylist.

One of the scenes that stuck out in my mind in the show was when Crystal flew in to Atlanta to style The Dream’s video. The Dream and Crystal bumped heads on the fashion for the video as well as if a celebrities fashion choices can influence their career.  Crystal said that Rihanna wouldn’t be where she is today without her major style and fashion influences. The Dream disagreed. Ooh La La Blog would like to know what do you think? Do you agree or disagree with her statement? While you’re deciding check out some pictures from the first episode.

Designer Showcase: Kade Stuart Presents Deen + Gray

Monday, October 4, 2010 · 6 Comments

Kade Stuart is a fashion designer, licensed Esthetician, and a freelance makeup artist. This triple threat is also the creative mastermind behind Deen + Gray, a contemporary fashion label that sells beautifully crafted crocheted scarves and hats.

Growing up in her Oakland, Ca home, Kade was surrounded by fashion designers. Both her mother and grandmother sewed. Her love for fashion was inherited as much as learned, and for that reason Kade has always known that the fashion and beauty industry would be her place to thrive. Opting out of fashion school, Kade went on to Tuskegee University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Management. With a desire to pursue her dreams, Kade enrolled in The San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology to hone in her skills as a makeup artist and Esthetician.

Kade’s passion for beautifully constructed clothing and accessories combined with her love of crocheting sparked what we know as Deen+Gray.  Deen + Gray’s January 2010 debut truly showed us works of art created by hand. We are sure Kade’s presence in the fashion world will be seen sooner then later. Ooh La La had the honor to interview the founder and creative director of Deen + Gray to find out her inspiration behind it all. We also grabbed a few pointers for upcoming designers. Check out her complete interview when you  Continue Reading »

She says ” I love what I know and what I can afford.” If she had to pick one designer though, it would be Rachel Roy.  She says her pieces are edgy, classy, and timeless. When Mia Ray has down time from being a mother to her son Munchie, she’s playing editor-n-chief to her own fashion blog, “Confessions Of A Glamaholic.”  She says she’s doing everything she can to break into the fashion industry.
