Sweeties it seems like this week crawled by. Seriously, I didn’t think I would make it to Saturday , but that the weekend is here I’m stuck in the house. Mother Nature wouldn’t let me be great, so I have no activities planned. Instead , I thought I would share all the latest in celebrity, beauty , and fashion news that went down this week. So here’s the rundown:
All those fabulous red caret fashion moment have aid off for Scandal star , Kerry Washington. This week the editors over at PEOPLE magazine named Kerry the World’s Best Dressed Woman of 2013. I couldn’t agree more. It appears all those fashion risks have paid off.
Kerry told People that when it comes to choosing a dress for an event she keeps a few things in mind. “For me the goal is to feel comfortable, event-appropriate and to be an elevated, more special version of myself or to feel like the best version of myself in that context and just be in the moment.”
Can’t wait to see what Kerry will wear at Sunday’s Emmy Awards. (peoplestylewatch.com)
Speaking of best dressed, Nicki Minaj took to Instagram this week to debut more pieces from her soon-to-be released collection at KMart.
If you’re into saucy dresses, figure-flattering tracksuits, and distressed jeans this collection is probably for you.
Nicki’s line is expected to hit store shelves later this fall. I have my eye on that yellow body con dress and the gold and black foil crop sweatshirt and skirt. (eonline.com)
If you thought you were going to wear that dress and then return it to Bloomingdales, think again. The luxury retail giant is cracking down on “Worn Returns” with a new b-tag. Dresses that cost $150 or more will come equipped with new plastic tags in hard to miss places.
Bloomingdale’s operating vice president of national media relations told ABC News that, “B-tags” are in place to reinforce that Bloomingdale’s will not accept returned merchandise that has been worn, washed, damaged, used or altered.”
Sweeties, what do you think about the new tags, team too much or totally necessary? (ABC News)
After grabbing my Boom Sweatshirt during the #PhillipForTarget launch (read about it HERE) I get word there’s another collaboration on the way and Sweeties, it’s a good one! PETER PILOTTO is the next high-end brand teaming with Target to offer stylish pieces for a fraction of the cost.
According to Target’s announcement this week PETER PILOTTO for Target will feature women’s apparel, accessories and swimwear, with most items less than $60. That’s what I’m talking about, looking good without breaking the bank! The spring collection will be available Feb. 9, 2014.
My favorite style stars like Selena Gomez, Kerry Washington, Miranda Kerr, and Jada Pinkett Smith are all fans of PETER PILOTTO. This is going to be epic! (Target.com)
Jay Z and Beyonce were named Forbes highest earning celebrity couple. With two mega stars bringing in major bank, did you expect anything less? According to Forbes the two raked in $95 million in earnings between June 2012 and June 2013.
These two are certainly born hustlers. They’ve parlayed that natural business since to some major deals, which includes Roc Nation Sports, House of Deron, Roc A Wear, and L’Oréal. Congratulations to Bey and Jay. (Forbes)
See you guys back here tomorrow for the Emmy Awards and I’m wishing you a happy weekend!
