Two time Olympic gold medal winner, Gabby Douglas graces the cover of People magazine. The gymnast won a team gold and etched her way in history becoming the first African American women to win a gold medal in the Olympics women’s gymnastic all-arounds. Despite negative criticism about her family, and of all things her hair, Gabby has remained positive.
She’s a young woman of faith and strength. She’s someone our youth and even older women should look up to. I’m beyond proud of her accomplishments. She has grace and humility even in the face of defeat and that’s inspiring.
Gabby is proving that she’s a household name and one to look out for. The young athlete landed a Time Magazine cover and will appear on boxes of Kellogg cereal in the coming months! You betta be FABULOUS “Golden Gabby!”
