I’ve been anticipating Tom Ford’s Spring 2014 Collection since Rihanna was spotted partying the night away in his thigh high boots in London a few months ago. All I could ask was, “What’s next?” What else will Tom Ford create that will have me lusting. From the looks of his showing at London Fashion Week, it’s a lot. He has me drooling over his entire collection, especially those luxurious leather. Sickening!
Ford sent several leather pieces down the runway, including a caramel-colored chevron quilted dress and a white biker style moto jacket. I love the texture and the croc embossed leather pieces are to die for. But that’s only the icing on the cake. Ford, is giving us supreme sexy in some of the saucy dresses with figure -flattering silhouettes. Oh let’s not forget the lace up thigh high boots. Shoegasm, anyone?
It’s clear Ford created this collection with a strong, confident, and powerful woman in mind. Sweeties, that’s my kind of woman! Continue Reading »
Burberry Prorsum‘s Spring 2014 Collection was anything but predictable. A major clue the designer Christopher Bailey was going a new direction was the shower of flowers and the rose petals that covered the runway.
Bailey sent a collection down the runway that was soft, fresh, and perfect for spring. He ditched the gold buckles, epaulets, and leather collar and pocket trims that’s become synonymous with Burberry. Instead, he used lace, cashmere, and soft suede to bring his collection to life. For this collection that Bailey calls, “English Rose, he used a color palette filled with pastels.
Sitting front row for the showing was just about everyone I can imagine wearing the collection .Olivia Palermo, Naomie Harris, Anna Wintour, Paloma Faith, and Sienna Miller were on hand. Even One Direction’s Harry Styles was there to take in the spring presentation.
Let’s get into my favorite looks. Continue Reading »

J.Crew presented a collection that was reminiscent of summer days on the beach. Tom Mora, who is the head of women’s design for the brand gave us a mix of surfer-girl with a nautical flare. The beach influences are seen through the wave inspired sweater and the nautical striped jacket. The collection is heavy on prints and color and that’s just way I like my wardrobe for the spring and summer months. Continue Reading »
If the 90′s were your years, then I’m sure you’ll love Alexander Wang’s Spring 2014 Collection. Wang pulled from the cultural and musical influences of that decade to create his collection. He gave us baby doll dresses, pleated tennis skirts, and slouchy shorts. Of course, he put a modern spin on things, which included clean lines and muted colors. And if the youthful look of the line wasn’t enough, Wang gave us a real 90′s flashback with his logo emblazoned on dresses, tops, and even gloves. He cleverly incorporated his name on everything, even a leather coat. Continue Reading »
Will Hervé Léger’s bandage dress ever get old? Not at all, especially when you have Max and Lubov Azriare re-inventing the wheel. This season, the designers give the bandage dress a makeover and an edgy one at that. For the spring collection it’s all about the detailing. Chunky gold zippers an bold harnesses provided the rawness, while the muted palette added he softness to the collection. I saw several looks that would be perfect for Katy Perry, Miranda Kerr, and Nicki Minaj, who was also sitting front row at the show (more on this later). I fell in love with black leather jacket from the collection. Continue Reading »
Mara Hoffman gives us bright and bold with every collection, but this season she promises the boldest and brightest collection yet! And she stayed true to her word. Models flowed down the runway in eye-catching neon colors and stand-out geometric prints. The printed shorts set has Solange names all over it and that cut out maxi will become a girl’s best friend next summer. Check out more from the collection. Continue Reading »
