Over the weekend I went to a fashion show. Originally I was going to wear something bright and full of color since the fashion show’s theme was JamaicanMeCrazy, but I went for a classic look. I opted for a white and black color scheme. I added touches of royal blue and gold accents to help make the look pop. I added M.A.C. ‘s Ruby Woo to my lips. Get a closer look. Continue Reading »
This past Sunday I had the pleasure of attending Allure of Style Fashion show in Montgomery, AL. The show featured pieces from designers and boutiques. Each year the show concentrates on a theme, and this year was no exception. This year’s theme was ” Jamaican Me Crazy”. It played on the colors as well as the culture of Jamaica.
While, I loved the entire show–there were a few designers that I definitely plan to keep on my radar. The swimwear from J.Coutour, and Shala’J were truly awe striking. The embellishments, tassels, and sequins elevate the swimwear to the next level. The pieces showcased from Coniques House of Style, J. Bolin, and Look Boutique literally had me taking notes. I was seriously eyeballing items for my must have list. Check out my interview with the mastermind behind Allure of Style V, Kenyatta ” Sway” Smiley. Continue Reading »

At the Allure of Style V fashion show, I saw lots of examples of REAL style, some were noteworthy and I captured them on film. Enjoy the pics! * mind you pictures were shot with a simple point and shoot camera* Continue Reading »

So first of all I love Keith Harings artwork, and I totally love that designers are still inspired by his designs in 2011. The latest project is with designer Nicholas Kirkwood. Kirkwood created a line of shoes based off the bold colors, defined shapes and edge associated with Harings work. I’m feeling this shoe because of the wedge and a pump! This shoe is a conversation starter.
