Unique style combined with a key concentration for rarity are two factors that stand out on this New Jersey native. From t-shirt, fitted cap, and a pair of Air Jordans one day to a fedora hat, CDG cardigan and Gucci rain boots the next; Spencer Harvey sense of style ranges in depth. He eliminates chicness that is usually defined through high-end fashion and haute couture, and for that reason Ooh La La chose him as our Friday Fly Philosophy feature.
Twenty-five year old Tuskegee chemical engineer graduate and active army occupant, Spencer Harvey can be spotted shopping at WishAtl, UBIQ, and Barneys. His web browser history may contain exclusive sites like haven.ca, oki-ni.com, and even EBAY for that matter. Harvey says “Gotta be diverse change up every once in a while”. This explains why his clothing attire varies from names like Levi’s, Comme Des Garcons, Gucci, to Nike, Original Fake, Undftd, Supreme NYC, Stussy, etc. He also loves sunglasses naming Prada and Oliver Peoples as his favorite.
Harvey prides himself as a prominent dresser adorning a tailored fit and avoiding baggy clothes. This one to one type of guy says “If somebody else has it, I dont want it”. Hence, all the items he own are collaboration pieces and/or not made in masses. He absolutely hate when people follow trends and encourage others to do the same by saying “Be yourself homie and don’t follow the crowd”. Well from one fashion connoisseur to the next Ooh La La tips our hat to you.

Nicki Minaj’s video for ” Moment 4 Life” premiered last night. Nice video with a concept that made sense and actually went with the song. Throughout the video I noticed her shoe game. The camera made a very conscious effort to capture these heels too.
The First are a pair of Christian Louboutin encrusted silver Pigalle Pumps. These were a gift from her Fairy Godmother Martha (saying this is my very best Nicki Minaj voice).
In the behind the scene footage Nicki Minaj is spotted with the open-toe version of the Christian Loubotin encrusted pumps.
The other pair of shoes that stood out in this video was a pair of Rock and Republic beaded black and gold peep toe booties. The shoes are known as Rock and Republic’s Saffon .
Who knew eye shadow and hair could make a HAUTE creation. On Tuesday, Wendy Williams reported on a new trend hitting the streets on her talk show. In L’Wren Scott’s presentation and Chanel Spring 2011 show models graced the runway with pops of colors in their side part. WMagazine.com reported that make-up artist used eye shadow brushes, eye shadow, and water to make the vibrant color show up. Do you think this trend will be one that catches on? I love it and I plan on trying it. I think in order for this to work the part Must be a side part. The hair Must have a sleek and polished look to it, like the model above. Check out the pictures below and tell us if you’re feeling this trend.
It was February 9th, 1992 (the NBA All-Star Game of the 1991-92 NBA Season) when Micheal Jordan introduced the world to the Air Jordan VII. This is also the year Michael Jackson shot the short film for “Jam” off his Dangerous album. The music video for “Jam” takes place within an abandoned indoor basketball court, where Jackson teaches Michael Jordan how to dance, and in return, Jordan teaches Jackson how to play basketball. In this classic display of MJ vs. MJ, Jordan wears the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux. Returning to store shelves this April as one of the most highly-anticipated Retro releases of the last half-decade, the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux will add to the extraordinary collection of ”sell outs”. While the rest of the world was going natural through their scalp, I started going natural through my fingertips. Since I wasn’t getting acrylic tips and overlays any more I went back to painting my own nails. This meant I was buying polishes galore and trying any new nail kits. Back in June, Sephora introduced minx inspired stencil kits. I bought two sets and loved them. I also had a few cons. Earlier this month I saw Sally Hansen’s kit at Wal Mart and tried them out. I really loved that set too. So here it goes….

The “Eggplant” features a specific superstar basketball players logo on the tongue who comes as a collaboration to the sneaker. Yes you guessed it, the logo belongs to none other than Kobe Bryant. If you know Nike SB like I do, then you are aware that they are known to create cool sneakers in honor of monumental or iconic figures, things, and places. Well, Nike SB is preparing to honor Lady Liberty through this Nike SB Dunk High Premium. But it doesn’t stop their, Nike SB went all out for this creation. Nike has given consumers an actual reason to wear these kicks. With enough normal wear and tear the iconic green color will fade into a dark copper color. My guess you will be able to peal off the green in case you don’t want to wait until these get beat before you see the copper. The shoes are expected to release next month as part of the Nike SB February 2011 Collection.
